The Birth of Villa Amalia in Spain
In 2012, a new chapter began in Spain. Villa Amalia was created as the most refined and international expression of the family’s winemaking journey.

Spain became much more than a place of production; it became the emotional home of both the family and the brand. Here, experience, heritage, and a deep passion for wine came together to form a project defined by authenticity, elegance, and a strong sense of origin.

From Spain, the family’s vision expanded internationally. Over time, production partnerships were developed across multiple countries, alongside a distribution network reaching Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and Oceania. Each step reinforced the same principle: absolute respect for quality, consistency, and authenticity in every bottle.

From its foundation, Villa Amalia was guided by one belief: wine should not only be produced, it should be felt.
2012
A Third-Generation Family Story
Today, Villa Amalia represents the third generation of a family wine project that continues to evolve while remaining deeply connected to its roots.

More than a brand, it is a family story shaped by time, geography, and a shared belief that wine is a universal language - capable of connecting people, places, and cultures. Every bottle reflects a journey built on tradition, passion, and a vision that has carried the family from its origins to a global presence.

Villa Amalia continues to grow with the same philosophy that shaped its beginning: wine should be experienced emotionally, long before it is understood intellectually.

Because for us, wine is not just made. It is lived.
Today
An International Wine Family
The development of the group naturally extended beyond its initial borders, shaping a broader international identity.

In 2010, a key milestone was reached with the acquisition and integration of the Estonian winery AS Vohu Vein, modernized to meet European winemaking standards. This marked an important step in the transformation into a truly international wine producer.

Today, the group operates across Russia, Estonia, and Spain, with a diversified structure that includes production, vineyards, and global distribution. Over more than three decades, it has combined large-scale production capacity with private label partnerships and international reach.

Yet beyond scale, the philosophy has remained unchanged: to create wines with identity, character, and emotion.
2010
The Foundation of Vilash Wine
In 1992, in Saint Petersburg, Mashkyur Gasymov, originally from Azerbaijan, founded Vilash Wine.
A former professional Greco-Roman wrestler, he later transitioned into business, bringing discipline, resilience, and a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Together with his brother, he began importing wine and supplying bottling operations in Russia. What started as a small family initiative quickly evolved into a growing wine business, shaped by adaptability, timing, and a long-term vision.
Over time, Vilash established itself as one of the leading wine producers in its segment in Russia, building a solid foundation in production and distribution that enabled international expansion.
1992
The story of Villa Amalia did not begin with a brand - it began with a vision, carried across generations and countries, and a lifelong devotion to wine as a way of connecting people.
Аbout Us
History
Sustainability
Villa Amalia was built on a simple belief: that the way wine is made matters just as much as the wine itself. Every bottle we put our name on is the result of a deliberate
choice
Our model
We work through contract manufacturing, partnering with carefully selected wineries and producers who craft our wines according to our specifications. This model gives us the freedom to source from the best and the responsibility to choose wisely. Every partnership starts with a conversation about values, not just quality.
The right partners
Sustainability is one of our core criteria when selecting producers. We look for wineries that apply responsible practices in the vineyard - mindful soil management, conscious water use, and a commitment to biodiversity in their growing regions. Before any contract is signed, we make sure our values are shared.
Vegan by choice
Most of our wines are vegan. We actively seek out producers who use plant-based or neutral fining methods, avoiding animal-derived agents such as gelatine or egg whites. A small but meaningful commitment to making wine that sits well with us and with you.
Transparency as a standard
We regularly engage our producers in open dialogue about soil health, water consumption, and waste reduction. This ongoing exchange allows us to ensure that what ends up in the glass genuinely reflects what Villa Amalia stands for.
Our commitment
We are thoughtful rather than perfect. And we believe that more responsible winemaking grows from the right partnerships built on shared values, honest conversations, and a genuine care for what we leave behind.
Unusual, but an acquired taste
"I ordered this out of pure curiosity. The wine has a very vibrant fruity aroma, but the real surprise comes when you take a sip. The seeds at the bottom of the glass create a unique texture—they have a pleasant little crunch. It adds a subtle nutty bitterness to the aftertaste. It’s a perfect conversation starter for a party, but not something you'd want to drink every day."
